Swansea, Wales

In the long weekend we went to Wales, we felt like checking out something new and were craving the sea and sand. Our first day we chilled at the main beach and went to all the local op shops (got myself a wicked vintage beaded top).

On our second day there we took a big bus trip out to the far west coastline to a small town called Rhossili.

It was awesome, Brendon got another surf in and we walked around the clifftops...so good to get sand on my feet

Before heading off we went to the Oystermouth Castle ruins while they had a bird of prey display on

Barcelona, Spain

We recently spent 4 days in Barcelona down by the waterfront near the La Rumbla markets. The first day we wandered round the city - found a yum fresh food market - then checked out some of the famous Gaudi architecture including the apartment block he created..

 

We spent some time down at the waterfront, Brendon managed to get a surf in at the beach and we had a walk along the pier to the large Christopher Columbus monument

 

One of the days we hiked up to Park Guell which was amazing, it was styled by Gaudi and had a top view over the city. I have never seen so much mosaic in my life!!!

 

 

One of the nights we found a fun cocktail bar that was completely pirate themed...



 

We visited the Picasso museum as well as the huge Sagrada Familia, also styled by Gaudi. You can see just how big it is in the panoramic view from Park Guell compared to the rest of the city. 



Tower of London

Just a few top shots from a tourist day around London, spent the morning walking along the River Thames then the afternoon looking around the Tower of London..

 

Easter in Amsterdam

This Easter we spent four days in Amsterdam. We stayed on a canal boat hotel on the waterfront and rented bikes for the whole time we were there so we could get around to check out the city and see the sights

 

 

Our first day there we checked out the city and the local coffeeshops of course, then had dinner in the old town square where there was a big carnival on..



 

We lined up with all the other toursits one morning to see the Anne Frank house, which was really worth it. Then we biked down to the floating flower markets..

There were heaps of markets on in all areas around the city so we spent some time biking around checking them out, as well as cruising around Vondel Park

 

Our hotel was pretty close to the Red Light District so we spent our evenings hanging out in that area where all the buzz was. Our camera was not a fan of the insane amount of neon lights but we had heaps of fun..

 







 

We found some nice places on our travels around, including a vintage cafe full of stuff you could actually buy

And of course some good Amsterdam coffeeshops..
